About me


Kendra’s Kitchen Natural Foods, Inc was established in Telluride, Colorado is 1987.  Upon hearing a lecture at Boston University and how the telecommunications would change the way we lived and worked my entrepreneurial spirit lead me to the West,  my birthplace.  After traveling throughout the state looking for a place to call home and I discovered the majestic, rugged, San Juan Mountains and “staked” my “claim” for Kendra’s Kitchen Natural Foods.  Fortunately, I found employment during the “off seasons” in a hunting camp on the Aldasora’s ranch near Telluride.  Fond memories of 4 autumn seasons of living in a canvas tent, saving money for rent & electricity and for my first real estate purchase brings pride and smiles to my face.  During these four and ½ years I was Ralph & Ricky Lauren’s personal Chef, worked in children’s ski school, waitressed at night – the typical survivor of a ski resort town, 3 jobs to make enough money to “live’ during off seasons.  Kendra’s Kitchen kept growing from hunting camp, to personal chef, to concessions at local festivals, i.e. Telluride Bluegrass Festival, breakfast, lunch and dinner, 8,000 – 10,000 people, 4 days, 19 hour shifts with a moving line at the booth the whole time!  Then came the growth of Mt. Village, the Gondola, expansion of the airport, construction of the Golden Door Spa & the Peaks Resort and then there was a need for catering, personal chefs, caretakers, property managers and horse, house &  child care.   During this time, I served as personal chef/caterer to prominent executives, such as Kelso & Jo Sutton, former publisher to Time Magazine, Fortune 500 company, Joe & Diane Steinberg of Luecadia Financial, The Smithsonian, Christie Brinkley and caterer to General Schwarzkopf and Air Force One presidential plane departing from Aspen after the IDEAS Festival.  My signature specialty, Southwest French Fusion Cuisine, a healthier gourmet based French cuisine, received much publicity and I was traveling teaching cooking classes, doing Chef Demos, fundraising and was a guest speaker throughout the West.  My original recipes are derivates from the classic Escoffier method, however with reduced sodium, cholesterol & saturated fats and Kendra’s Kitchen Rub & SW Seasoning is a repertoire in many of my recipes.   Chef Kendra offers Chef Services, Chef to Table and Garden to Table cuisine. The Rub & SW Seasoning and the Healthy Gourmet BBQ Sauce enhances many of her unique original recipes, since 1987!

Wilcox has been selected to be included in the Marquis Publication, Who's Who in America 2021 and on the front cover for the Who's Who Millennium Magazine, 2022, 10th Edition, Hospitality and Leisure section.
